And then we'll have our picks for tonight as well coming up in the final segment. Incredible hockey game last night, a near no hitter that was broken up by a walkoff Homer, all sorts of stuff to talk about today. But we're going to spend most of our time talking about the Spurs and

OKC, just an all-timer, Nick. One of those games, Jeff, where it somehow exceeded the

1:06.5

hype. And the hype was, okay, this might be the best series we've had in the NBA in a full decade. I mean, to begin it with a double overtime classic like this. I mean, I don't even know where to begin. You know, this was, look, Jeff, I have a six month old baby at home. I'm at a point where as soon as I go to bed, I immediately fall asleep because I'm just permanently tired. last night was the first time in a long time that I just had to, I just had to lay there. I was like walking around the house.

I said to bed. I immediately fall asleep because I'm just permanently tired. Last night was the first time in a long time that I just had to, I just had to lay there. I was like walking around the house. I said to cool off after watching that game, which was just adrenaline filled from start to finish. I mean, OKC, first of all, gets off to their coldest start of the season. They went their their longest stretch without scoring to begin any game. They're down seven to nothing. You and I were talking, you know, around half time. And I'm like, man, OKC's lucky. They're only down seven right now with, with how poorly they've played. I think overall, there's a case to be made. And I'd have to, you know, actually run through every game. But just eye test wise, this was as badly as I've seen Shay Gilges Alexander play, especially in a big spot like this, maybe at any point in his career. And look, he's still early in his career. The sample's not that huge, but it was a little bit alarming to see all these shots that you're used to just SGA automatically making those contested midrangers. He had a little bunny like a three footer on the baseline that he missed late in the game, a couple two on one situations where he probably should have given it up, but you could tell he was forcing it a little bit. It was just a bizarre, bizarre setup, I thought for OKC. And yet in regulation, in overtime, at times, a double overtime, you still felt like the thunder were going to pull this game out. And I think lost in all this, Jeff, because of the, the line from Victor Wemanniamma, you know, Dylan Harper playing like he did seven steals, by the way, on top of a great offensive game is the fact that DeAron Fox was ruled out like an hour and a half before this game. And look, if you were on the spurs, you're thinking, oh my goodness, where did this come from? You know, Fox has been questionable for three or four games in a row. There was really no thought that that ankle injury would cause him to sit out. And lo and behold, I mean, Dylan Harper just steps into an even bigger role. So much to take away from this game, but an incredible, incredible win on the road from the spurs. And it felt to me, Jeff, like the official, okay,

3:07.8

Victor Webminiama might actually be the best player in the NBA now announcement.

3:12.7

Yeah, it really was. And of course, it's at the same time that SGA gets his MVP trophy.

3:18.0

The NBA is uncanny with that. They have a, they just have a way of doing that there,

3:22.2

where, you know, some, a legitimate candidate for the

3:25.6

MVP has to watch his opponent get the award.

3:28.5

And then he goes off in that game.

3:30.0

It reminds me of some yogish games in the past as well.

3:33.0

Just, you know, even going back to like Jordan versus Malone for the MVP, if you want to

3:37.0

go that far back, just where voters got Jordan fatigue. You just get that every once in a while there. It's just uncanny. Well, I think the best cop is the, and you probably remember this better than I do, Jeff. I've just consumed this, you know, via highlights and podcasts talking about it. But the Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, I think it was 1995, one of the years where Jordan was out, where, you know, David Robinson won the MVP and then Hakeem just mop the floor with him in the playoff series. I mean, look, we'll see how this series plays out. I'm not ready to just pencil in San Antonio into the finals. But look, I mean, this was, this was carryover from what we saw in the regular season. I think that was the biggest question going in was, you know, we, we typically don't love to just assume that what happened in the regular season will happen in the postseason because the game changes so much. But as San Antonio is now, what, five and one straight up against the thunder this season. I know OKC sat one of their guys in that game, but no other team over the last two years has given

4:31.6

OKC anywhere near this amount of trouble. Now, from a betting perspective, Jeff, I want to give

4:37.7

condolences to those who were on the under last night. We, we love the under 221.
