A lot of hoops talk, of course, because we had scintillating playing games yesterday to start the NBA playoffs there. Two awesome games last night. Two more to preview tonight. We're going to do rate that prop with those games for tonight. Zach Cohen, the great Zach Cohen is going to join us today. So it is a basketball-centric show today. Loving it there. a lot of storylines from this game yeah no question man and as promise jeff i i was indeed

1:08.1

streaming this game from what will always be miller park in milwaukee. So as Trevor McGill is is blowing a lead in the ninth inning, we're watching this game play out out on the third base line. And I mean, this is what the play is all about, man. You know, obviously they installed this to keep more teams in the mix, keep more competitiveness, you know, during the regular season. But it sets up these, you know, winner go home games. So you just don't get all that often in the NBA. And the sense of urgency was palpable. The crowd I thought in Charlotte completely lived up to the hype. And, you know, it was a game where it felt to be, Jeff, each team had a chance to close it out for the heat. It was at the end of regulation where, you know, they had a big miss free throw from Jaime Hawkes, which it was already a two possession game, but could have made a four point game, a five point game. All of a sudden Charlotte turns around, hits two crazy threes. Yeah, the Kobe white three from the corner where he caught it and just launched as if there was like point four seconds on the clock when in reality there was like 10 and a half seconds an all time no no no yes type of shot if you are a Charlotte Hornets fan and then of course the Hornets take control in overtime you have the Lamello turnover that lets the heat back into it. You know, Tyler Hero hits back to back or hits a three and then hits three free throws to put them up. And then, of course, it's lamella ball as the hero with the game winning layups. So I ended up being a really, really fun game, sailed over the total, by the way, finished 228 in regulation, way over 253 in overtime. Miami did get the cover on us. That was a, that was a tough one. We hit some props in that game at least Kobe White over one and a half threes, Hawkes over 11 and a half points. But what you were alluding to with the controversy, Jeff, of course, was Bam at a bio going out of this game early in the second quarter. Certainly looked to me like LaBello ball took a grab at that ankle, basically kind of swept the the feed out from under Bam. He lands on his tailbone. We did not see him the rest of the game. Eric's bolster, as you'd expect, you know, had some things to say, unloaded a little bit on the officiating specifically and implored the league to take a look at that play. And that's what the NBA says they're going to do this morning. They're going to review it. And look, there is a possibility that lamella ball could face disciplinary action, potentially even a suspension for this next playing game. We'll see if that ultimately happens. But I think it was objectively a pretty dirty play for being honest. I agree. And, you know, going around Twitter after that, there was, you know, footage of him doing this before. It's not the first time he's tripped, but somebody reached out and grab somebody around the ankles like that. Really dangerous play. And, you know, and in fact, Bam did get hurt. And that's a huge injury, too. You know, massive player to lose for most of the game. I think all credit goes to the heat for even keeping this like as tight of a game as it was. I thought it was amazing to see that. I, yeah, I think if it was a just world, ball would be suspended for Friday's game. I think he probably should be suspended for that game, but we'll wait and see on that one there, see what happens. I thought the other interesting thing about this one was, you know, Concanupil was really struggling in this game. They just went to Kobe White over him down the stretch. I thought it was a bold coaching move just to say, hey, you don't have it today. You know, we're, you know, we'll come back on Friday. We'll go get him. But we're going to get through this game with Kobe White.

4:14.3

And, you know, White hit that crazy three, of course.

4:16.4

But he was playing great all game. And he was the more effective player and they just went with them in this game. Yeah, I mean, White struggled a little bit in the first half. I think he was one of six from the field in the first, did almost all of his damage in the second. but you're you're totally right.

4:29.5

I mean, Lamello still played 40 minutes,

4:30.8

but was off the court for some key possessions late in the game.

4:33.2

We saw almost no conchidipal. of his damage in the second, but you're, you're totally right. I mean, Lamello still played 40 minutes,

4:30.8

but was off the court for some key possessions late in the game. We saw almost no conchadipal late in the game. He was 0 of six from beyond the arc, two of 12 from the field overall. I mean, it's, look, on one hand, it's amazing that Miami was able to almost win this game, basically without bam at a bio on On the other, the Charlotte Hornets won a game
