| 0:15.9 | today by asking you to think about the concept of proof. What does it take for something to be proven to you? |
| 0:25.0 | Let me say it another way. What do you need in order to believe something? |
| 0:30.0 | I remember as a kid saying to people, |
| 0:33.0 | prove it, you know, when they would brag about something, |
| 0:36.0 | or they would say that they did something. |
| 0:38.0 | Well, today in Romans chapter 1, |
| 0:41.0 | verses 4 and 5, the apostle Paul brings up this idea of proof and he doesn't use |
| 0:48.6 | the word proof but he brings up the idea that Jesus demonstrates in a very specific way how he is the son of God. |
| 0:57.0 | And friends, it's important that you and I understand that. |
| 1:01.0 | We understand Jesus in fact is divine. When he said he was the son of |
| 1:06.0 | God he was telling the truth. We're going to dig into that in Romans chapter 1 |
| 1:11.2 | verse number 4 in just a moment. But before we do I want to remind you that |
