I'm your host Rachel Myers and I'm your other host Amanda Bible Williams and we

are so excited to get started in our brand new rating plan promises of God.

Our content director John is back with us as we talk about the heart behind

this reading plan while we wanted to do it while we were afraid to do it and

where it landed. We're so excited to dig into this with you guys. We've been

waiting on this for months now and it is just right on time so let's go.

It was so encouraging to see I think NT Wright wrote an article that the

New York Times or maybe Time Magazine picked up and he was talking about that

like he was saying like believers if you feel heavy right now there's a

reason for that. God is in control that is true and like go to the Psalms and see

that we are meant to lament heartache and hardship and like it is right right

now to lament and I just needed to hear that like I needed to like hear this

naming of this feeling that we've been having as oh no like we shouldn't just be

walking around all Jolly Golly. Yes we have the joy of the Lord but also like

there is a lot to lament right now. We're all grieving something. And yeah and

some of us some really heavy stuff. Yeah and why and even just like looking at

the world around us there's a lot of heavy stuff to lament and not even

you know not even counting our own personal experiences. Yeah well that's an

upper story. That's an conversation as I open earth but we can because that's

kind of where we all are but I love how I just continue to be so thankful
