Yeah, the long story short is the California utility companies, most notably Pacific gas electric, which gives power, brings power, sells power at incredibly exorbitant rates to millions of people across California, particularly in the northern end of the state.

They and like utilities like them, Sandy, Iguagas and lecture, they spend tremendous amounts of money on lobbying.

They enrich politicians and have for a very long time and in theory, you the the rate pair of the consumer, the citizen are protected by this public utilities commission, which is a bunch of fat cats who are overpaid with your tax dollars for doing virtually nothing.

But you know, in the case of the utilities, do their will. It's a beautiful example. You remember during the bailouts, maybe heard the expression privatized profits and socialized losses.
