It's time for another edition of Fighting for the Faith. I don't know if I'm tired or under the weather have a little bit of a sore throat

and no, I don't have swine flu or bird flu or nothing like that.

Boy, I tell you though, you know, with the way they're reacting to that whole

swine flu thing on the news.

If you start getting a runny nose,

you might panic, think you're gonna die.

You gotta be careful.

Jesus Christ, dishing up a daily dose of biblical discernment the goal of

which is to help you to think bibically and help you to think critically and to be

a good Burian.

A Burian is a person listed, you know, we find their story in the Book of Acts.

And what did the Burians do?

Well, when the Apostle Paul breezed into their town and shared the gospel message with them, the gospel message that

Jesus Christ was the promised Messiah and that he was crucified on a cross for the forgiveness

of sins as a propitiation and basically an atonement for our sins.

They didn't sit there and go, great, you're just a man of God and you know, you look like a swell guy and you sure to deliver

that message with sincerity and love, and therefore we're just going to believe you without

testing it.
