Welcome to the politics guys. I'm Michael Baranowski, a political scientist at Northern Kentucky University.

My co-host this week, as always, is Cleveland Area Attorney and sometime Republican strategist, Jay Carson.

Well, Jay, as you would expect, we've got mail, we get lots of mail, and, you know, with me taking that extra week off of vacation, we have quite a backlog of great viewer questions, and I'm ready to get to them if you are.

I wanted to start with this because, you know, like I said, we get a lot of great email.

This is probably one of the most sort of personally, I don't know, touching, I guess you could say, emails that I think we've gotten.

I just wanted to share with everyone.

So Andrew writes, I just wanted to send a quick email of thanks to you and Jay.

I'm a passionate and strongly opinionated person,

and sometimes that makes me argumentative and angry when I feel that there is something wrong

going on or someone is being hurt, especially when it's people who can't protect or defend themselves.

But listening to you to disagree and still respect each other, along with your mutual willingness

to look at evidence

and consider both sides before reacting, has mellowed me out in every single aspect of my life.

Even my relationship with my girlfriend and roommates is better because of you two.

We're in danger of polarizing in America to the point where it's just two sides screaming at each other.

We need shows like

the politics guys to teach us that the only way we can truly make America great is to put
