I'm Seth Gruber and this is Unaborted. So you may recall the escalating battle in the state of California right now over a piece of legislation called SB 24, which would require public universities to provide the abortion

pill in their health centers to college women. Now, this piece of legislation was proposed

years ago under the governorship of Jerry Brown.

And so live action news on August 7th broke a very helpful story called California legislators could vote this month to dispense abortion pill on college campuses.

And so this debate and this controversy is starting to come to ahead.

And by the end of August, we may have a decision from the California Senate.

This is what they say.

They say last year, Governor Jerry Brown vetoed legislation at the time called SB 320 that would have required

every state college or university to commit medication abortions on campus in their health

centers.

The bill sponsor, Senator Connie Leva, immediately promised to reintroduce a legislation as soon

as she was able, so a real peach.

And she has done just that. The new bill, SB 24, was introduced last year. And in April, it was approved by the

Senate Health Committee. A final vote is expected to come at the end of August. And of course,

our new governor, Gavin Newsom, has already said that he will sign the bill if it passes.

So our former governor, Jerry Brown, who was no friend to the pro-life movement by any means, by any definition, vetoed this legislation.
