There's something in psychology called the self-serving bias, which I also talk about in the

forthcoming book.

So the self-serving bias is a way that people navigate in terms of attributing successes

and failures, be it in their lives or in the lives of others.

So most people tend to have, and that's why it's called self-serving, they tend to have a rosy

attributional style, meaning that if I did well on the exam, it's because I'm smart and I studied

hard. If I did poorly on the exam, it's because Professor

Sad is an asshole Jew, right? And therefore, successes are attributed internally, failures are

attributed externally.
