We like to get right into it and what we're going to get into today is politics and golf.

If you follow golf, you know that Brooks Capka has just won the BGA Championship, one

of golf's four major championships, which is a big, big deal for Brooks Capka, but it's

also a big deal for an ongoing battle, a political battle that's going on inside professional

golf.

Professional golf has been melting down for more than a year.

Professional golf has been involved in a civil war over money and politics because you

may have followed this closely, maybe you didn't, the cause has been the creation of a new

tour, which is funded by the vastly, vastly wealthy government of Saudi Arabia funded by Saudi

Arabia to challenge the dominance of the PGA tour, PGA tour being the big organization

in professional golf.

Now the PGA tour has reacted to this challenge like any other business that faces a potentially

mortal threat.

It has tried to strangle the new tour, the new tour is known as live golf.

It has tried to kill a live golf by threatening lifetime banishment for any PGA tour player

who defects to the new league.

It has carried through on those punishments there.

There have been lifetime banishments, what appeared to be lifetime banishments for players

who've gone to live golf.

The PGA tour has offered tens of millions of dollars more in prize money than they were

offering just a year ago.
