2nd Corinthians chapter 4 verses 4 through 6.

In their case, the God of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from

seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants

for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, let light shine out of darkness, has shown in our hearts

to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Okay, so there's a lot of words there in these three verses and you might get lost in some of it,

but here's the picture. I want to paint based on these three verses together because it is

powerful and perspective shifting when you see this. So verse 4 talks about the little G

God of this world, who is blinding the minds of unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light

of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Right now, for every unbeliever

in the world, for everyone who doesn't know Jesus, there is a little G God in this world,

an adversary, the devil, and demons who are working nonstop to blind their minds to keep them

from seeing the love, the grace, and the glory of Jesus. Just think about people you know

in your family and your workplace and your school, people around you and your city, and think

about unreached people in the world that we pray for all the time on this podcast. The little G

God of this world is working nonstop to blind their minds from seeing Jesus. And then,

so that's verse 4, then verse 6 says, for God, capital G, God, who said, let light shine out of

darkness, has shown in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the

face of Jesus. And so, where you've got the little G God of this world, blinding minds, and you

have the capital G God shining light into hearts. That's what happened for every one of us,
