uh welcome to theocast this is a different episode we're not even going to do our normal introductions

if you're new to theocast this is uh justin produce pastor in ashford north carolina covenant baptist

church i'm john moffitt i'm a pastor in uh spring hill tennessee grace reform church

and uh we're together because uh we're doing some work for the board and things like that.

But we, in between some recording of episodes, looked at our phone and recently saw some updates

about not only Charlie Kirk, but some stabbings. And we're going to be careful what kind of

language we use so we don't get

censored here but we don't have this is not scripted justin we just wanted to sit down and i think

what the one thing i want to say before i turn it over uh to whatever we're going to talk about

our intentions for this is to help people process this

themselves as a Christian. How do you communicate these kind of things to your family as a church

to your, you know, congregate, if you're a pastor. We want to love and care for you. And so this is

this is unfortunately not, this isn't, this is becoming a more common thing that's happening.

I don't know how else to say that. I mean, we've seen a shooting last year when we're talking about our own president.

So, um, yeah, so this conversation is how do you process this from a Christian perspective?

Like, how do we think about these kind of things?

Yeah.

Yeah, I mean, in our nation, we've been through a lot in recent years from George Floyd.

You talked about the assassination attempt last year, school shootings, mass shootings,

a stabbing on a bus in Charlotte this week Charlie Kirk today I mean a few hours ago brother I yeah I mean so this is very fresh we

yeah like John said but just again to give some context we had just gotten done doing a recording

and yeah but I just happened to be the first one to look at various things on.
