It's been an incredibly challenging year and families far and wide are trying to figure out how to be together for the holidays when they can't be together physically.

This year, Pam and her two sisters Andrea and

Amanda are planning a Christmas caroling Zoom call to their parents in

Northampton, Massachusetts. In a series of Zoom calls, they plan and they practice. But it's just really hard. Chapter 1, Pam and Amanda.

So are you there? Yeah, hey, how's it going? Can you hear me? Yeah. Yeah, I can hear you. You can't hear me? Okay. You can't hear me? Like I can hear you. I don't know why I keep saying can you hear me? I don't either. I'm not a Zoom person as you know. Yeah. So anyway

we're trying to schedule. We just think that because we can't get there this year to see them,

I think that we, what we can do is have a family Zoom call at Christmas, and that I think that we should do the

caroling but I think we should I mean I know that it's not the same but I do think

that three of us should no come on don't do that it's this is the least that we can do I mean I just feel like they're fine

I know they're fine Amanda that's not the point is that it's just a small thing that we can do for them at the holidays and they've done a lot for me as a single mom with my child and I so I want to give back.

I also know that you must be wondering about River. It's just been crazy here. Her school is open,

but I just am not feeling comfortable with it. I just don't feel it's safe and I also think that she's really aware of what the risk factors are and I don't think that the other kids maybe are quite as aware.

Wait, wait, wait, why do you feel like River

has like some sort of special purchase on like germs?

Oh, she, it's not that she, of course she doesn't, but she's, she's gifted, she's smarter than the

kids in her class.

It's not her fault.

The point that I'm just trying to make is that she's home. So I've been I've been getting her some special

counseling, which happens over Zoom. We've been doing motion counseling, which is body work.
