Hey guys welcome back and this is an episode of problem solved which is a segment where Rebecca Smith and I attempt to solve problems we really don't we really just laugh at each other and this episode we're talking about food, meal planning, eating with our family, shopping,

I usually don't start this off with any of my own words. However, we were talking about something that I felt like you would not understand if I didn't give you the backstory. In this episode, I talk a lot about how we are having some financial troubles at the Thomas House.

And it's because, well it kind of just started with my daughter making a choice that was not great, but it was very expensive. She felt like it was a really

solid move to take her friend's Wiener dog and push it through a little window out of a tree house down to her friend who was going to catch it below.

Well, her friend did not catch the dog. And my daughter loves animals.

Arguably, she loves them more than people.

I think she would say the same thing.

And so she did not intend to hurt the dog,

but she just felt like, I have no idea what she thought.

She thought it was gonna be a fun for the dog or save her time and getting the dog out of the treehouse. I have no idea what was going on in that eight-year-old head, but the dog got broken. And my husband and I had the opportunity to spend several thousand dollars to give the dog a surgery

and my bad I did not budget for giving surgeries to other people's dogs so it caught us by surprise.

The dog is ironically named Rocketman and he launched us into, pun completely intended,

a new season of our finances where we just really have to pay

attention to stuff and try to build up all of the savings that we lost in an instance.

So I talk about it like it's the worst thing ever

and like we are starving and almost homeless.

I don't know why I'm like that. It actually has really been a blessing to be forced to have self-control and I appreciate that there's a funny story behind it.
