11 professional mountain bikers and we caught them on trains, planes and automobiles so

forgive the subpar audio quality that we have even for myself here as I'm on site at National

Championships but we interviewed them as they were going to Winter Park Colorado for mountain

bike national championships. It's the course starts at 9,000 feet every lap and just goes up from

there so that's around 3000 meters and it's a tall order for a lot of athletes to get prepared

for that sort of elevation but what we did is we asked these athletes the same five questions

every one of them. So what you'll hear is each athlete answering question one then each athlete

answering question two and so on. And question one is how did you prepare for the high elevation

at Winter Park. Question two is did you do anything special to prepare for the course.

Question three how did you taper for this race and was it different than a typical taper for you?
