Mike Greenberg, clearly it was an honor in your mind at the time to work with Terry.

What was he like as a force to work with in those days?

Terry was the funniest person I've ever known in person.

I remember Terry saying hilariously funny things and thinking,

I can't believe how funny this man is.

And he was so spontaneously funny, both on and off the air.

And then as I got to know him, I realized that his wit was based primarily in his extraordinary

intelligence.

I was on the board the day that Mike Ditka said to Terry Boers, who you crappin. The words, who you crappin, you are the one who said about me when I didn't have the fire. So who you crappin? You're the same guy that wrote about me when I did have the fire, that that was the wrong thing to do. So who you crappin? I was on the board when that happened, that first year of the score. Obviously, he and Terry

had a contentious relationship, of which I wasn't especially aware, but dating back to columns

that Boris had written about him in the Sun-Times, a lot of stuff that I didn't know about.

And so that one time that Terry did the show, that was when who you

crappin was born, it begat this sort of legacy segment that I think, you know, lived on forever.

But in the moment that it happened, it was one of the most excruciatingly uncomfortable experiences

I've ever had. One of the things, Mike, that's been pointed out over the course of today, and last night after the game, is that you seem resigned to the fate after the game, that there wasn't much fire in you, and you sort of stood up before the media and said, well, you know, this is the way it is. Are you resigned to this fate? You're the same guy that wrote about me when I did have the fire, that that was the wrong thing to do.

So who you crap?
