Summary
Ever since 1980 our government has stopped reflecting the will of the people. And yet at every level the Republicans continue to push their neo-conservative agenda that in reality serves to bring ever greater wealth to the already wealthy. Bottom line: will we lose our democracy, or is there a chance Progressive Democrats could take back our government for the people in 2020?
Thom checks in with investigative reporter Greg Palast on the private electricity companies that 'have us by the bulbs'. Before he was a reporter, Greg actually helped the State of New York buy the power company in Long Island. And we follow that with a fiery debate between Thom and right-winger Julio Rivera of Reactionary Times on the experiment of privatizing our public schools.
