In today's meditation, we're going to be considering how our Lord calmed the storm when he was in the

boat with the apostles on the Sea of Galilee. And this incident is recounted for us by

Matthew, Mark, and Luke. It's a fairly short incident, only about maybe five or

six verses in each of the Gospels. And so I thought that perhaps we could actually go through

each of them. We'll focus mainly on Matthew, Matthew chapter 8, verse 23 to 27. But then I wanted

to look at Mark's Gospel, Chapter 4, and then Luke's Gospel,

Chapter 8, to pick up a few other details that might be beneficial for us.

So let's read together Matthew's Gospel again, chapter 8, verse 23 to 27.

And when he entered into the boat, his disciples followed him, and behold a great tempest arose in the sea so that the boat was covered with waves, but he was asleep.

And they came to him and awakened him, saying, Lord, save us, we perish. And Jesus said to them, why are you fearful, O ye of little faith?

Then rising up, he commanded the winds and the sea, and
