It has been five years since the Islamic State or ISIS was defeated by a US-led

military campaign in Syria, but today nearly 10,000 ISIS fighters remain jailed

inside Syrian detention centers.

Human rights groups call conditions in the prisons abusive, and local authorities warn

that they are a breeding ground for radicalization and could help spark an ISIS revival.

Special correspondent Lela Malana Allen traveled to Northeast Syria to meet high security

prisoners and the regional forces that are still battling ISIS.
