The hard part is learning to keep going and trusting God, even when we're in the midst of

difficulties.

When we're determined to never give up, there is no limit to what God can do in our lives.

Now here's Joyce with today's teaching.

If you define the word hope, it means a favorable and a confident expectation. What are you expecting? I had a lot of bad

things happen to me in my life growing up. I live with very negative people and a lot of

dysfunction and alcoholism and sexual abuse and

ranting and raving and screaming and yelling and fear.

So I developed what the Bible calls evil forebodings and I didn't even really know what that was but I sure had them.

I didn't know they had a word, a name, but I had them.

And what it was was this vague feeling all around me all the time it was with me all the time that

something bad was going to happen. What's going to be the next bad thing that's

going to happen? What's going to be the next piece of bad news. What's going to be the next

disaster? What's going to go wrong next? And I didn't even realize that I

live like that, but it was the way I grew up and so I continued in my adult life

with that feeling about me all the time and then as I began to study the word and

began to learn that God wanted me to have peace and he wanted me to have joy,

I started to recognize that feeling that was around me.

And I didn't even really know what it was.
