Summary

Priscilla Shirer is a wife and mom first, but put a Bible in her hand and a message in her heart, and you'll see why thousands meet God in powerful, personal ways at her conferences and through her books and Bible studies.

She and her husband, Jerry, lead Going Beyond Ministries through which they provide spiritual support and resources to the body of Christ. They count it as their greatest privilege to serve every denomination and culture across the spectrum of the church.Between writing and studying, you'll probably find Priscilla at home cleaning up after (and trying to satisfy the appetites of) her three rapidly growing boys.

two options when they have setbacks. One is just give up like oh that's

0:44.6

not going to work or the other one is just keep going but I think there's actually a third

0:49.0

option and that's to actually allow those setbacks to inform why you're doing a chance to pause and reflect.

0:56.1

Is this the right call? Is this the right thing that I'm up to?

0:59.2

1:04.6

Yeah. You got the gas, the brake, and the clutch. And so sometimes it's just knowing which pedal to hit.

Sometimes we hit a setback when you like

1:14.0

1:15.4

And indeed, there are times in life

1:17.3

where you just ought to stop doing whatever you're doing

1:19.6

that's creating problems.

1:21.0

There's other times you just need to hit the gas and keep moving forward and all that.

1:26.0

You don't need to floor the gas and just burn rubber and make lots of noise and all that to deal with your

1:32.0

insecurities.

1:34.7

But a third option in this idea of a sustaining belief

1:39.1

is to just put the clutch in and to say,
