There is nothing worth living for unless it is worth dying for.

My grandmother lived a life devoted to Jesus, and today her talks have been made available

in their original form.

So you too can be built up through the insights and mysteries God revealed to her throughout

her ministry.

Now without further ado, here is Elizabeth Elliott.

This morning, as you know, my topic is sacrament.

Last evening we talked about incarnation, God manifest in the flesh.

A village woman chosen to be the chalice in which Christ would be born, and that word

born as B-O-R-N, as well as B-O-R-N-E.

I have it born slash born.

And I think of Mary Borre Christ all through his 33 years, in hidden ways, in ways about

which we know very little.

You remember the time when Jesus was talking in a house, it was, I think it was the same

story in which the man was let down through the roof, but the disciples came and told

Jesus that his mother and his brothers were outside.

And Jesus made another one of those statements, which I think must have in some measure

appears to her heart.

He said, who is my mother and my brothers?

And went on to say that his mother and his brothers were those who hear the word of God

and keep it.

Well, of course, Jesus had seen that in his mother.
