The subject is incarnation, and one of the principles of our lives as Christian women who

are responsible in some measure for the spiritual life of others is that we have to receive

it ourselves before we can give it.

We have to live it in our lives and then give it.

Number one, a definition of incarnation.

It is the taking on or being manifested in a human body.

Any of you who are Latin students know that the word incarnation comes directly from the

two words, meaning in the flesh or the end-flushing.

God who is spirit took on visible, tangible form in the person of Jesus Christ.

God was in Christ, and God is also in a Christian.

Christ in me, the hope of glory, so that the world may see in us what true godliness

looks like.

One carnation is another one of the ways in which we are to do what Jesus Christ did.

We talked today about taking up the cross and following him, doing exactly what Jesus

did, demonstrating for us obedience to his father.
