The lawsuits have been busy. Prince Harry, Sir Elton John, and others are suing The Daily Mail over some horrific allegations of criminal activity, including wiretapping phones. The UK media has some history with this which is wild. I will be very interested to see how this suit progresses; The Daily Mail has made a very strong statement about this suit, stating the allegations are false. Bethenny Frankel has sued TikTok, alleging that they allowed creators to use her videos to make ads for knockoff products. Bethenny is attacking the case from a copyright position which may be an attempt to get around Section 230 preventing a party from suing a platform for what a user posts. The heart of the suit is the posts of a particular user, which will create a problem for Frankel. I can’t wait to hear what you think of these suits.
