I know we like to over react often times when it comes to football games, particularly when it is NFL football games and particularly when the NFL football games are on Thursday or Monday or Sunday night and everybody is watching the same game.

And so last night, if you are a Minnesota Viking fan, you watched Kirk Cousins and your team get really I thought dominated in many ways by the by the Seattle sea hawks.

But when you actually take a step back and dive into the numbers, was it really as bad as maybe it seemed when you looked at the scoreboard or you just watched the game to which I mean.

First of all, the place and total yardage were almost identical. These two teams were not separated by very much at all.

First downs, almost even third down efficiency, almost even both bad total plays almost even total drives almost even total yards separated by two yards.

The total passing yards of the Seattle sea hawks 60 yards yards per pass 2.7. Now the sea hawks ran the ball pretty well, but really until Russell Wilson broke off that 40 yard run, none of those runs had led to any sort of dominant field position.
