In today's episode, we'll hear from John Paulo Maloney, a warehouse worker in Piazzanza

Italy who's the president of his local union, which is part of the Italian General Confederation

of Labor, known as Chi-Gi-L.

To get a sense of things, Chi-Gi-L has around 5 million members.

Chi-Gi-L itself is part of Unique Global Union, which is a global union federation for

the Skills and Services sector.

It has affiliated unions in well over 100 countries representing some 20 million workers.

Unique's General Secretary, Kristi Hoffman, also joined us for today's conversation.
