Can I say to the Honourable Gentleman that I think it's absolutely right that he raises

this issue. There are many young people who are caring for their parents,

caring within, sometimes caring for their siblings as well, and all too often going

unseen and unheard.

And certainly one of the things that we're doing as a government is trying to ensure that

we do see more opportunities, more ability to identify, to assess young carers and their families

and to support them, and to make the rights of young carers clearer.
