Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

And I'm sure that members across the House will wish to join me in marking Holocaust

Memorial Day this Saturday and in remembering all those who endured such appalling

suffering in the Holocaust.

Mr. Speaker, this morning I had meetings with ministerial colleagues and others.

In addition to my duties in this House, I shall have further such meetings later today,

and later I will travel to Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum.

And who knows, I might even bump into the shadow chancellor while I'm there.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. As you will know, my right honourable friend will know, last week was the very successful

launch of the Year of Engineering campaign aimed at changing the perception of engineering

and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

I know that the Prime Minister is personally committed to this campaign,

so can I therefore invite her to join me and 80,000 young people at this year's Big Bang Fair

to reinforce the message that engineering is a great career and open to everyone, regardless

of background, ethnicity and gender?

Yes.

Mr. Mr. Mr. Mr. Mr. H,ourable Friend, he does indeed make an important point.

And this issue of engineering, particularly for more women seeing engineering as a career,

is something that I have promoted for many years now.
