Mr. Speaker, this morning I had meetings with ministerial colleagues and others.

In addition to my duties in this House, I shall have further such meetings later today.

People in places like Stoke-on-Trent North, Kids, Crove and Talk aren't getting the help

they need quickly enough when it comes to mental health.

Fellow campaigner James Starkey and I were delighted when the Prime Minister, who was then

Chancellor, said he would back our campaign every step of the way to get mental health nurses

into GP surgeries.

So will the Prime Minister deliver on his promise back our No Time to Wait pilot scheme

developed by the Royal College of Nursing and help get people

support they need.

Mr. Speaker, can I thank my honourable friend for his continued campaigning on this

important issue.

I'm pleased to tell him all 1,250 primary care networks in England are entitled to recruit

up to two mental health practitioners to work in

surgeries. I know the BMA and NHS are looking expanding that, and I look forward to working

with him to ensure that his constituents in Stoke get the mental health support and care

that they need. We now come to the leader of the opposition, Kirstama.
