Good morning. I'm Kate Baldwin. It's Wednesday, May 20th. Here are your five things.

Number one, the primaries. President Trump's retribution campaign had a big night, taking down

another Republican he deemed insufficiently loyal. Congressman Thomas Massey of Kentucky's

who were talking about, he's a longtime

conservative with the libertarian bend. He's always been skeptical of more government, federal

government funding, more government involvement in general, which means he voted against Trump's

massive tax and spend bill. He voted against funding for foreign conflicts, and he led the charge

to force the release of the Epstein files.

And he just lost his primary to the Trump-backed challenger, Ed Gullrime.

I want to thank President Trump for his support, his endorsement, and his counsel as I navigated this campaign, which is a journey of and to itself.

There is a yearning in this country for somebody who will vote for principals over party.

You all don't like bullies and you don't tolerate them and I love you for it.

One senior White House advisor told CNN it wasn't really revenge.

Just quote, get this, basic political management of a party.

You have to keep everybody on the reservation.

Occasionally, you have to shoot a hostage.

And then there's Georgia.

Another Trump perceived enemy fell there.

Brad Raffensberger was Secretary of State when Trump was looking for votes in the aftermath of the 2020 election.

Raffinsberger did not get the votes this time.
