So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

I am blessed to be with very good friend Patrick Looney

who had surgery this past week and is recovering.

So we're gathered together as friends to pray the Rosary.

And I think we need to probably pray more

for his wife Maria for having to put up with Patrick as he recovers.

So we'll offer this for both Patrick and Maria and for all those who are on our hearts all those people that we've promised to

pray for so let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy

Spirit the last few days we've been meditating on the greatness of God in the fact that he is our father and yesterday we reflected on the fact that God created the

angels he created Satan or Lucifer as a good angel in fact one of the highest of all of the angels

But Lucifer didn't grasp what God was offering him and he threw away his opportunity.

I think I take for granted what God is offering me,

that we have human life and that's really good but God is

offering us something almost unimaginably more he's offering us the opportunity to share in his own life to be a son of God, to be like God forever.

And I was trying to think what what would what could I think of

that would bring the magnitude of this. You know you see those signs adopt a highway? Well you can't really adopt a highway.

I mean a highway is a wonderfully engineered created thing, but you can't make it your son or daughter.

You can't give it human life and give it immortal life. You can't really adopt a highway.

You can't even adopt a highway. You can't even adopt a dog. And because we don't grasp the goodness and greatness of ourselves, a whole host of vices follow that could be avoided. You see every sin has its roots in pride.

And pride is to seek to establish our self-worth apart from God in a way that actually turns

us away from Him.
