Chapter 11 to 14

In the previous chapters, while Elizabeth cared for Jane at Netherfield,

the Bingley sisters mocked the Bennet family, but Darcy

and Bingley defended them, though Darcy acknowledged their lack of wealth made them poor marriage prospects.

When Elizabeth rejoined, the conversation shifted to Darcy's high standards for an accomplished woman, which Elizabeth critiques.

The next day Mrs Bennet embarrasses Elizabeth by pressuring Bingley to stay at Netherfield and praising Jane's beauty.

Meanwhile Miss Bingley grows jealous of Darcy's increasing admiration for Elizabeth, who continues to be oblivious

of his advances, only deepening his interest.
