In the previous chapters, Mr Collins sends a letter suggesting that the engagement between Darcy and Elizabeth is likely.

Mr Bennet finds the idea laughable and reads the letter aloud to Elizabeth,

mocking the notion.

Soon after Lady Catherine's visit, Darcy returns to Netherfield with Bingley, and during a visit to the

Bennets, Darcy and Elizabeth walk together.

Elizabeth thanks him for his help with Lydia, and Darcy admits that he did it all for her.

He then confesses that his feelings have not changed for her and Elizabeth reveals that hers have

agreeing to marry him. Now that we've caught up with the story so far, let's get ourselves ready for sleep.
