Tonight we'll be reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin,

Chapter 28 to 30.

In the previous chapters, Mr Gardner visits the Bennets, and, noticing Jane's sadness, invites her to London, hoping a change of scenery will lift her spirits.

Jane hopes to see Mr Bingley there, but is disappointed when he does not arrive, as well as by Miss

Bingley's being cold and distant.

Meanwhile, Mrs Gardner warns Elizabeth against Wickham, Elizabeth assures her that there is no serious attachment.

Wickham soon turns his attention to Miss King, newly wealthy, which affects Elizabeth only slightly, confirming she was not in love with him.

Elizabeth then sets out to visit Charlotte after her marriage, and

the gardeners offer an invite to her on a future tour of England which she gleefully accepts.
