I'm Faith Moore, and this season we're reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Each episode, I'll read a few chapters from the book,

pausing from time to time to give brief explanations, so it's easier to follow along.

It's like an audiobook with built-in notes. So brew a pot of tea,

find a cozy chair, and settle in. I can't believe it. I feel like the time has really flown by, but here we are in October. And welcome. I'm so glad to be here with you, as always.

This is episode eight of season two of Storytime for grownups. We're reading Pride and Prejudice

by Jane Austen, chapter by chapter, a few chapters at a time with a few notes along the way.

Today we are reading chapters 22 through 24. Since we are in a new month,

I'll just say again, because I know some people were wondering at the beginning, we are going to

be reading this book through the end of November. So we're about a third of the way through. And like

I said before, in December, I have a kind of holiday surprise for you guys. So we're going to do

a sort of holiday special for the month of December, and that's kind of what's coming here on

Storytime for Gronos. But for now, I'm really excited to dive into these chapters with you, and I have

two great questions today. They're going to sound completely unrelated, but I promise you that I have a reason for

reading them both at the same time and for talking about what we're going to talk about before the
