Hello and welcome to Story Time for Grownups.

I'm Faith Moore, and this season we're reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Each episode, I'll read a few chapters from the book,

pausing from time to time to give brief explanations, so it's easier to follow along.

It's like an audiobook with built-in notes. So brew a pot of tea,

find a cozy chair, and settle in. It's story time. Does it feel like fall where you are? I think here it's just starting to feel like fall. I've actually

had a cold for the past week or so my whole family came down with the kids went back to school and

everybody promptly got sick, which I guess was inevitable. But you might be able to hear it in my voice.

I'm sorry about my voice today. I don't sound like this in the chapters. I recorded the chapters

before I started sounding slightly croaky, so don't worry about that, but we're going to get

through this intro together. I'm really excited about it, actually.

We're going to talk about something that I know many of you have been wanting to know about.

I've been getting lots of questions and comments about this particular topic. So we're diving into it today. But welcome. Welcome. This is episode six of season two of story time for grownups.
