I was tipped as a future Prime Minister.

I don't say that boastfully because I know only too well that you could fill banqueting

halls with ex-future Prime Minister.

As so often in political life, it is the cover-up which really brings you down.

What seems sort of like a kind of lie who swat away a minor mosquito with, and no one's

going to forget to bother about it again.

It blew up and continued to blow up, the court cases and so on, and then found myself on the

way not to Ten Dining Street, but to Belmarsh Prison.

I always try and remember every day how grateful I am to God, not for committing the sin, but

for what he has done in my life subsequently.
