Pride distorts our perception.

We don't see things as they truly are.

We don't see other people's value.

Who are you willing to give your attention to and listen to? And who do you ignore?

Jesus always went for the lowly people, the hurting people.

And it's sad in our churches sometimes because we get our little groupies.

We're really, when you go to church, you ought to look for somebody that looks lonely

or like they're hurting and go or somebody by themselves and

say hey you want to come sit with us you know let's let's let's get ourselves off our mind for a few

minutes and think of somebody else people that are full of pride are sinfully competitive they want to impress people

i always say you're never free to you no longer have to impress anybody.

And you know, and we'll never really fully listen to God until we realize we don't have to impress people.

We try to impress people with the clothes and the jewelry we wear, the kind of car we drive, the furniture, we own the house,

we live in, the place you live, company you work for, how much education you got, on and on

and on, name droppers.

People that are full of pride try to draw attention to themselves. They talk a lot about themselves.

They're not fulfilled in serving others.

They're insecure.

They compare themselves to other people.
