bandied about, right? No, J.J. McCarthy, I think they probably wanted to play Sam Darnold. I think

people are definitely understanding that now, either way, and give J.J. McCarthy at the very least,

his Pat Mahomes year sitting behind Alex Smith and Sam Darnold playing the role of Alex Smith in this case.

Certainly not comping J.J. McCarthy to Pat Mahomes, but I think this was kind of all the plan.
