We have finally made it to the national championship game.

Welcome in to the PFF College Football Show, Max Chadwick, alongside Dalton,

Wasserman here. Dalton, we have previewed 175 games this year, all leading up to this. Indiana,

against Miami for the national championship. All of the pomp and circumstance surrounding it,

of course, with Miami getting to play in their home stadium down there at Hard Rock Stadium in

Miami. Fernando Mendoza going back home to play and try to win a national championship coming

off a Heisman trophy win there. And then he's probably going to be the number one overall pick

in this year's draft.

I just think you, it's strange because, you know, Miami as the team especially that was argued about, you know, even getting into the playoff at all and now they're at this stage with a

legitimate shot to win the whole thing. It really, to me, speaks to how much I think this

expanded playoff helps college football, right? I know some people are against more expansion, and we can have those arguments later, but I really do believe the expanded playoff field the last couple years has been a great thing. And the fact that we get these two teams may not have been the two teams you expected at the beginning of the year, but it feels like a fitting ending, doesn't it? It certainly does. You remember last year's title game, too, and we had Ohio State against Notre Dame.

Neither of those teams would have been in a four-team college football playoff either. So it is showing that, hey, there's a lot of good teams in college football right now. Again, Miami is the last team in, like Dolan said, to the field. Actually, I kind of want to break down these two teams before we go into the actual preview of the game,

just kind of how they've gotten here.

a perfect 15 and no record this year.

They will be playing in the national title game for the first time in program history, obviously going for the first

national title in program history as well.

And this is kind of, feels like the culmination of what has been, I would say, the most

incredible turnaround that we've ever seen in college football head coach.
