We preview the SEC. We preview the Big Ten. Now it's time for maybe our favorite conference to own the Big 12. It's the wildest of the Power 4 conferences. And even last year, a lot of these fan bases for these schools on the desk right here, there were some of our best fan bases of the entire year on our show. So I'm really excited to get to the Big 12 today. Absolutely. And you have so many teams involved because in the season of chaos last year, this was the most chaotic conference. It ended the regular season with a four-way tie. You had two of those teams, Arizona State and Iowa State playing in the Big 12 title game. Arizona State picked last preseason in the conference, ended up winning it and going to the college football playoff, giving Texas a run in the quarterfinals. And it feels like this year, Max said, it's as unpredictable as it was last year. To the point where the Big 12 is not even putting out a preseason poll, they don't even want to bother making predictions because they know the chaos is coming. So I said this before, but the current favorite to win the Big 12 is Utah at plus 550.. That's very long odds for the favorite of the conference.

In fact, every other one of the conferences, the favorite is either plus 310 or lower.

All right, Dawn, starting off with the Arizona Wildcats head coach Brent Brennan in his first year last year as Arizona's head coach.

They weren't as successful as the 2023 season when they went 10 and 3 and finished number 11 in the final 8 people.

There's actually their best season of the 21st century.

Jed Fish left the program after 2023.

Expectations were really high for them entering 2024. In fact,

both Dalton and I picked Arizona to win the Big 12 last year because they brought back guys like

Nofa Feta and Terro McMillan and Ticario Davis. All three of those guys were top 10 players in the country

their position. But under a brand new head coach in Brent Brennan, Arizona came crashing back down to earth this past season with only a 4 and 8 record.

Their sixth losing season in the last seven years.

Tedrae Mcmillan, who was a top 10 pick in the 2025 draft to the Carolina Panthers, was one of the lone bright spots of the team.
