to pass between the ships of the squadron no matter what flag they happened to be flying.

And they would be forced to go around them or get shot at pretty much as soon as this order was given

a fishing vessel approached the squadron leading the crews to open fire on them

thankfully for the fishing vessels the Russian gunners did not know how to do their job or aim so they missed entirely

Now the vessels happen to be contracted by the Russian Navy to carry a message from the Tsar to the fleet and that

message was carrying from the Tsar to the Admiral he had in fact been promoted

to Vice Admiral and he had been shot at for it. He had nearly killed his own promotion.

It opened fire on the Swedish fishing vessel claiming it was under attack. It was not and

thankfully they could they also couldn't aim at all and the Swedes were able to escape

without ever being hit.
