That leads me to one of my favorite conspiracy theories from the Cold War,

is that the Soviet Union attempted to make superhuman monkey soldiers?

What?

Yeah, now there was like the, because you know, with every conspiracy theory, there's a thread

of something that actually happened, which is another thing we'll talk about.

And that is, once upon a time, someone did write a research paper about the viability of

human-to-ape children, which was, it turns out, not viable, because that's not how bodies work.

Yeah.

This conspiracy theory is that the Soviet Union actually implemented this plan to attempt it.

Making a human tiger.

Yeah, and they, you know, of course, because this is a conspiracy theory based on, you know,

Soviet citizens being automotons and not being able to think for themselves,

that women lined up for blocks to willingly allow their body to be insiminated with ape semen

to make super strong, bred army soldiers.

And if you google it, you'll find multiple people talking about it.

That's awful.

Yeah. And like, I think, depending on what you read, they tried humans to monkeys first,

and then they tried monkeys to humans.

...
