When life is super hard, you find tiny things to make you really happy and your car being nice or like fun and you're like fried chicken and like having someone at home that loves you.

Like those aren't tiny things, but like the rest of his world in that in open all night is still pretty shitty.

But he's like, okay, you got to, you know, you got to have these other things.

Yeah, you find the joy over you can.

But if this is the class struggle, its anthem, its international, is the song that provides the title for his 18th month

world tour, born in the USA, period, right? So, like, you're supposed to get some meaning from that,

which I assume he's like, oh, like, it's not the international, it's like, born in the USA, he's

very patriotic. The very next sentence, I have not got a clue about Springsteen's politics, if any,

but flags get waved

to his concerts while he sings songs about hard times. He's no whiner. And the recitation

of closed factories and other problems always seems punctuated by a grand, a cheerful

affirmation, born in the USA. That's not an affirmation. Wow, you missed it, buddy.

It's not an affirmation. I mean, there's optimism in the music, but that's not a fucking affirmation.

It's funny to, like, think, like, his just direct description of being born in the USA and his, like, his songs are descriptive.

They're not, like, prescriptive.

There are they, they, they're, like, he doesn't want the world to be like this.

He just is saying what's around him.
