I think you can situate this in a broader trend in that we are now in the era of scams,

0:05.0

because they're, you know, they're easy, they're reliably profitable, and the odds of getting caught, like, in any meaningful sense, go down every year.

0:12.7

Like, something like half of all crime reported to the police, England and Wales last year was fraud.

0:17.6

And they have essentially no capacity to investigate it. And that's just, you know,

0:23.4

getting a text message that's like, hey, I'm from HMRC, we need you to log into scams.RU

0:30.2

and give me your, like, driver's license or whatever. It going up against this kind of shit,

0:36.7

you know, where you have to, like, at least you can sit down and explain to a police officer, like, oh yeah, I clicked a dodgy link and I gave a guy my passport number or my bank account pin or whatever.

0:48.9

Explaining what, like, yeah, I got ripped off of like one quintillionth of a Picasso painting in a currency that

0:57.5

you've never heard of before.

0:58.8

That's a much weaker position to start from.

1:02.2

Well, I think that doesn't even touch on the idea of like, who knows what the terms of

1:06.4

service are for these platforms or whatever you want to call it?

1:11.1

Who knows what these people, like, what rights these people are signing away as soon as they

1:15.6

start using these sites.

1:18.6

And, yeah, I hear you and I agree with you.

1:22.3

But then I also think about previous major, like, I'm not saying we should, there's no way that we could stop all the

1:29.2

fraud in the world, but there's previous examples. Liberty Reserve, right, was the, the dollar

1:37.0

derivative online in the early to early odds. And they, they were able to shut that down because a bunch of law enforcement agencies

1:47.7

worked together to make it stop.

1:51.3

We haven't seen much of that when it comes to cryptocurrency.

1:55.3

Well, a big part of that, well, there's a few things I think we have seen, right?

1:58.7

A big part, but a big part of that is that there that in the early odds, there still was, or it was
