I'm popping up here today in your feed for just a minute to tell you that we have got

a special episode heading your way next week.

We're going to be bringing you my conversation with Senator Ron Wyden, member of the Senate

Intelligence Committee straight from his office on Capitol Hill.

Yeah, it's been kind of a busy time for him.

There's some hearings he's got to go to.

But he is still taking the time to think about your fourth amendment rights.

What has happened is law abiding Americans get swept up in the searches and there have

been real abuses.

In fact, after years of pressure by myself and others, one recent abuse was actually

addressed where in effect, some additional party was just mentioned in an email or something

of this nature and then the government would then go on this extended search of them

and all the people they were connected to.

So now we've got to find a way again to show that liberty and security are not mutually

exclusive, that there are real threats from foreign targets and that we don't want

law abiding Americans to just have their data indiscriminately examined and toward.

Can I just ask though, I mean, there is a possibility maybe just to play devil's advocate

that by using this, we could figure out more whether Americans were involved with the

Russians meddling with our elections last year.
