It didn't garner immediate success, but is now considered an American classic, even often referred to as the great American novel.

It is read by students and literature enthusiasts around the world, with many people holding it dear to their hearts as their favorite book of all time, which is why we were so keen to feature it here on the bookshelf.

It is a novel filled with scenes of decadence and headonism that is synonymous with New York and the Jazz Age, following the story of a self-made millionaire
