Hey, everybody. This is The Last Laugh. I'm Matt Wilstein from The Daily Beast, and believe it or not, and I really cannot believe it.

Next week is the 200th episode of this podcast. To celebrate this huge milestone, I invited Samantha B to return to the show

for the second time after being on our eighth episode all the way back in May of 2019.

And I am so glad that she said yes, because we ended up having a really wonderful conversation

about both the end of her late night show Full Frontal and the

future of her comedy career, both on stage in an upcoming national tour and beyond.

In this little preview of the episode, I asked Sam how she reacted to the news that

full frontal had been canceled last summer.

How did you find out and when did you find out that the show had been canceled?

I found out we had a vacation.

We had a scheduled vacation.

So we were on our break.

So I found out over the break.

So I had gone on a big family vacation and we came back.

And then I found out one the like a couple of days after we came back sort of mid like mid to

late July late July I guess and and I told everybody and everybody was shocked and I was like

I don't know what to say it was very it was we were everyone was really sad it was really sad

it was sad were you shocked I think shocked but not I think shocked but not, I think shocked but not surprised.

Yeah, I wasn't surprised.

I mean, you could see, listen, like, I've worked in television for a long time.

You can see, when you see the writing on the wall, you see it.

And I, of course, I saw it.
