The US knew absolutely nothing about Grenada, to the point they weren't even

entirely sure where it was on a map. They had no standing plans or standard plans for an invasion

of the island, probably the only country in the western hemisphere that was the case,

and speaking of maps, the military didn't fucking have any.

So the entire invasion was planned on tourist maps that had to be purchased in Florida and North

Carolina, and then they made photocopies of them. And then so they could be used as a military

map, they literally just traced grid squares on them. As for educating military officers on how

Grenada works, they simply gave them a recent copy of the Economist, which had an article about

Grenada in it. That was it. Of course, the fucking Economist's involvement is like,

fucking hate that paper so much. Anytime I see it like pop up online, I just want to like,

I'm not going to say any more because I would have to believe it, but no.

If you were to say, let's put on our ghoul hats here, like take our human ethics out of it.

If you're planning an invasion, even an island of 100,000 people, how much time do you want to do this?

From beginning to when dudes are going to be thrown out of helicopters on the target,

what do you want? Me personally, I would say you need at least a week if not two weeks.

It's a small, relatively speaking, it's a small operation that you have zero fucking

intel about the place, no maps, et cetera. So even running 24 hour staff shifts, I think two

weeks is more realistic, but a week you could probably do it. It's just that they're not starting

from a baseline here, they're starting from nothing. I mean, that's like I said, like being a
