So can we talk about the dance hall sequence?

Yes, we can.

Let's get into it because, you know, for me, the movie has multiple climaxes,

like a movie about sex probably should.

And this climax of the dance sequence, okay, I've seen this scene because I played it in the store,

probably on that exact same tape, probably 50 times. I've probably played that scene.

And I've watched that scene many, many times. I'm watching it again with you, having not seen

the movie for a couple of years now. Okay. That was one of the greatest scenes I've ever seen.

Yet again, I was still blown away. That moment when Bobby DeSico does the flip up against the wall. There's also

another thing going on with this scene that let me set it up first and then I'll bring what

going on. Because it's one of the things that actually becomes really fascinating watching

1941 about Spielberg taking on his own movies. The fact that he has Jay Patrick McNamara

working as a De Palma regular as in his De Palma regular role. And then he has J. Patrick McNamara working as a De Palma regular, as in his

DiPoma regular role. And then he has Nancy Allen in the film. And he's dealing with

Jaws and his close encounters and all that kind of step. Okay, well, there's also something else

he's dealing with two things inside of New York, New York. My favorite part of New York, New York

is the opening 25-minute dance hall number.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Are they big U.S.O party sequences happening on D-Day, all right, when we won the war?

Everyone can get laid.
